Recommended where there is KNOWN drug use or manufacture. Recommended a minimum of 1 sample for each room in the dwelling, samples locations should be chosen using a risk-based approach.

BEST FOR:

  • Where drug manufacture or use is known, from law enforcement, a council cleaning order, or positive results from previous meth screenings. (What to look for?)

BREAKDOWN:

This type of screening is required when a Field Composite Screening or DIY instant test kit reveals the presence of contamination potentially above 0.5μg/100cm². Analysing rooms individually will identify which rooms require decontamination. Samples are taken from each room for individual analysis. The property at this stage is deemed unsafe and extra precaution is taken by our field sampling technicians.

THIS SCREENING IS ALSO CARRIED OUT AFTER DECONTAMINATION TO CLEAR A PROPERTY PRIOR TO A VALIDATION REPORT BEING ISSUED

POSITIVES:

Establishing 100% where the contamination is present inside the property will ensure the cleanup costs are accurate and no excess is spent. More than 50% of cases the contamination is isolated to only a limited area in the property which saves thousands in clean up costs knowing where the contamination is present.

We offer a FREE consultation and interpretation of initial methamphetamine screen tests. NEGATIVES:

Every room in the property needs swab samples taken which adds to the screening cost.

COMPLIANCE:

All sampling is conducted by a trained sampling technician, using NIOSH Method 9111. Samples are sent under a chain of custody (COC) to a NATA accredited laboratory.

All detailed forensic testing and reporting can be audited by a Certified Occupational Hygienist on request. Reports are assessed to ensure sampling has been conducted, and the report presented, is in accord with state and federal health, safety, and environmental standards and guidelines and the Australian Clandestine Drug Laboratory Remediation Guidelines.
